How to save the audio of a video as MP3

Open the menu on the video's row in VidHatch and pick MP3 or M4A under Audio only. When the stream sends its sound as a separate track, VidHatch fetches only that, so it is quicker than saving the whole video. Free, with no limit.

MP3 or M4A?

Save the sound in four steps

  1. Open the page and play the video

A few seconds are enough for VidHatch to find it.

  2. Click the VidHatch icon

The video shows as one row with its length.

  3. Pick MP3 or M4A under Audio only

Open the row's menu. The row switches to Audio, and for MP3 it shows an estimated size.

  4. Download

VidHatch saves name.mp3 or name.m4a in your Downloads folder. The conversion runs in your browser.

Which videos it works on

Streams, HLS and DASH, and MP4, M4V and MOV files. For DASH, VidHatch downloads only the sound. WebM and MKV files do not get an audio option yet.
