VidHatch for Android.

A browser that finds the video on any page and saves it to your phone as one MP4, sound and picture together. Free, no account, no ads.

vidhatch-1.0.0.apk · 2.9 MB · Android 10 or newer

Install it in four steps

The app comes straight from this site, not from Google Play, so Android asks a few questions the first time. Here is each screen and the button to press.

01

Download the file

Tap Download APK on this page. Chrome warns about every app file that does not come from Google Play; tap Download anyway.

02

Open it

Chrome shows Open for only a few seconds. If it is gone, pull down the notification shade and tap vidhatch-1.0.0.apk, or in Chrome tap ⋮ → Downloads.

03

Allow this source, once

The first time, Android sends you to Install unknown apps. Turn on Allow from this source, then go back and tap Install. You will not be asked again for updates.

On Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO phones a red Danger screen comes first: tick I am aware of the risks, wait for the countdown, then tap OK.
04

Let Play Protect check it, then install

Google Play Protect has not seen a new app before, so it recommends a scan. Tap Scan app. When it says App installed, tap Open; VidHatch also sits with your other apps.

Xiaomi, Samsung and other phones word these screens a little differently, and some skip one. The button to press is the same.

Save a video in three steps

Everything happens on your phone. The file goes from the site straight into your Downloads.

01

Open the page in VidHatch

Type the address or search in the bar at the top, tap Paste link, or use Share in any other app and pick VidHatch.

02

Play it, then tap the blue button

VidHatch watches the page as it loads. When it finds the video, a blue button shows how many it found. Tap it.

03

Pick a quality and save

Choose the quality if you want something smaller, then tap the download arrow. You can leave the app: the download keeps going and a notification says when it is saved.

Your videos are in Download/VidHatch: open them from Gallery, Files, or ⋮ → Downloads inside VidHatch.

Questions, answered plainly.

Is it safe to install?
Yes. The app is signed by VidHatch and Play Protect can scan it before it installs. It has no ads, no trackers and no account, and it asks only for internet, notifications and permission to keep a download running in the background.
Why is it not on Google Play?
Not yet. For now it comes straight from this page. The file’s SHA-256 is 52b59b6855371c8a8fc47e019d1328b7589824c1bc8307f282e9243d92f93b41, if you want to check your copy.
What if it finds nothing?
Play the video first. Many sites only load the video once it starts, and the blue button appears as soon as VidHatch sees it. If the video is copy-protected (DRM), VidHatch tells you it cannot be saved instead of handing you a broken file.
Where are my videos?
In Download/VidHatch. Gallery and Files show them, and so does ⋮ → Downloads inside the app.
How do I update?
Install the new version over the old one. Download it from this page and open it; your saved videos and settings stay where they are.
Does it cost anything?
No. The app is free, with no account and no watermark. Pro is an upgrade for the browser extension; nothing in the app is locked.
Is there an iPhone version?
No. Apple’s rules do not allow apps that save video from other sites, so VidHatch is Android only. On a computer, use the browser extension.

Ready when you are.
