Coming to the storesYour version
New
Subtitles are saved next to the video with the same name, in your browser's language or English. SRT by default; VTT or off in Settings.
"Subtitles only" in a video's Save as menu saves just the text.
Scan pages and Watched pages open each post on a list page, one at a time, and keep only its main video or its full-size images. Pick Videos, Images, or both. Pro
The panel shows its version number. Click it to come back here.
Improved
One row per video. Qualities of the same video share one menu, duplicate copies are merged, and when a page has a video its images fold behind "Show N images".
Subtitle languages carried inside a stream now show up in the panel.
Fixed
Clicking Download again on a video that is already downloading no longer saves a second copy.
Streams packed into a single file saved every piece twice and played with broken sound. They now save cleanly.
Pre-roll ad clips from one more ad network are no longer listed.

New
A Pro section in Settings: see your plan, copy your key to use Pro in another browser, or remove it. Pro
Improved
When the hard-site resolver can't help, the panel says why in plain words: busy, too many requests, or a page type it doesn't support yet. Pro
Batch rows that fail say why they failed. Pro
A download that stops because the network dropped picks up again on its own.
Large files download in several pieces at once.
Pasting the 6-digit activation code into the key box now tells you where it goes.
Fixed
Chrome could rename a saved file to match its type, so a sound-only M4A came out as .mp4. Names now stay as VidHatch set them.
Download history could lose entries when several downloads finished at the same moment.

Report a site: a link in the panel sends us a page VidHatch can't handle. Nothing is sent until you press Send.
Social media posts and reels are listed as one file with picture and sound.
An "Ask where to save each file" setting.
Each video row shows its length, and videos that some players can't open get a codec tag with a hint.
Protected (DRM) streams are marked as protected instead of failing without a reason.
Improved
When a page has a full video, its short preview clips fold behind "Show N short clips".
Streams made of small pieces download four pieces at a time.
Joined streams are saved as a regular MP4, so they seek and play in more players.
Error messages are in plain words and say what to try next.
The ad filter knows more ad networks.
The list stays put when the browser puts VidHatch to sleep between clicks.
File names keep accented and non-English letters.
The panel is wider at the larger text sizes.
Fixed
Files from sites that only serve them to their own pages failed as "forbidden". They save now.
Video and sound served separately were saved as two files. They are joined into one MP4.
Streams that keep their sound in a separate track were saved silent.
Some stream links saved a tiny text file instead of the video.
Hard-site downloads were named with a doubled extension. Pro
File names could end in a dot or a dash, which Windows can't save.
Firefox: the sidebar no longer opens by itself after install.

Your version
New
Save just the sound of a video as MP3 or M4A, from "Audio only" in the menu next to each video.
Pause, resume and cancel any download, including streams that are being joined. Reopening the panel picks running downloads back up.
A resolver for supported hard, cipher-protected sites. Firefox asks your permission before a page address is sent. Pro
Improved
Quality menus list each resolution once and mark 60 fps streams (1080p60).
A rescan button in the panel. Images are named after their own caption.
Fixed
"Download saved" now shows when the file is really saved, not when it starts.
From this version on, Firefox 140 or newer is required.
